The James S. McDonnell Planetarium, designed by St. Louis architect Gyo Obata of Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, sits in the southeast corner of beautiful Forest Park. The Planetarium opened in 1963 and merged with The Museum of Science and Natural History, to become the Saint Louis Science Center. Dine underneath the colorful night-sky of 9000 stars in the large rotunda located in the center of the building. With its star studded ceiling and soft colored lights the planetarium is the perfect setting for a romantic and beautiful wedding reception.
