Forest Park Cabanne House

The Cabanne House is one of the oldest structures in Forest Park, built in 1876 as the Park Keeper’s house. It was envisioned as part of the original Master Plan for Forest Park and was designed in an elegant French Second Empire architectural style. In 1971, the house became a City Landmark. In recent years, the Cabanne House has been substantially renovated, although it still keeps its old world charm with 14 foot ceilings, soaring windows, decorative marble mantels, and the mansard roof which is characteristic of mid-Victorian architecture of the period following the Civil War. 

This historic venue, located at the Union Avenue entrance to Forest Park, is a wonderful place to host wedding receptions, wedding ceremonies and rehearsal dinners. Spring through Fall, there is a 20’ x 40’ tent outside the house. Bridal parties using the Cabanne House for both their ceremony and reception have access to the Bride’s Room upstairs overlooking the park grounds.

Rental fees for use of the Cabanne House Sunday through Saturday are as follows:

Daytime Event Inside the House

4 Hour Time Slot (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM):  $350

6 Hour Time Slot (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM):  $500

Daytime Event Inside/Outside House

4 Hour Time Slot (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM):  $500*
6 Hour Time Slot (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM):  $700*
*Includes use of the Bride's Room inside the house and the 20' x 40' tent outside of the house. Equipment (chairs, sound system, etc.) must be rented from a private source for all ceremonies held outside. Your event planner will assist you with all of your rentals.

Nighttime Event Inside/Outside the House

6 Hour Time Slot (6:00 PM - 12:00 AM):  $1,000*
